Students who complete the course will be able to recount at least three success principles that have contributed to the lasting legacy of one or more of the individuals studied this quarter.
Letter from HQ:
Dear Songpreneurs,
Hello, Friends. We've been at it together for a long time working on our songwriting skills, and have come a long way toward building sustainable careers in the new music business.
Some of the folks who have been with us since the beginning when we started out as Hillbilly Culture Club in 2010 are still working with us today. That says a lot about the strength of our small but mighty group that has seen the ups and downs and continually changing landscape of the music business.
In fact, sometimes when people ask me, "how's the music business going?" I'll answer, "Eh? The music is better than ever."
The question is usually a personal one, and varies day by day depending on a lot of factors outside a person's control.
But one thing remains constant no matter what is happening in the world…
The MUSIC is the most important thing, and more than that even, a person's ability to sit down and put pen to paper to create something new completely from scratch is an amazing, transformative, and healing capacity.
Some people dream of being part of a number one record or album. We have been fortunate enough to experience what that's like through two generations.
Is it just a pipe dream to think that you, too, can know that joy of being a successful songwriter?
Depends on how you go about it.
You can pine and dream your life away, hoping and despairing about the state of things outside your power to control.
You can hire publicists and social media gurus to polish your assets for you and charge you a mint to push you on your way.
Or you can sit down, take pen in hand, and begin to work like you never worked before to make your dreams happen through your own actions.
Woah. Is that a scary thought, or does it excite you to your very core? Maybe both?
You're in the right spot.
Often the door to songwriting and music business success looks more like lugging gear up a loading ramp than strolling down the red carpet.
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and take control?
Stop speculating and start investing in your self and your own ability. You can do it, and Songpreneurs can help.
Right now Songpreneurs Leadership Community is full for the 2025 calendar year.
But, as we wrap up this year's 8-weeks training courses, we're offering a peek behind the scenes into what makes our group so special and formative for the thousands that have graced our doorstep and taken something valuable with them on their road to songwriting success.
Sign up for access to our Q3 course "Faces" and join the light hearted discussion about some of the most impressive and inspiring behind the scenes figures in our music industry through the years.
We'll look forward to getting to know you and your music as you grow and glow.
As my old pal, "Lollipop" and Brill Building songwriter Beverly Ross used to say, "See you around the campus."
Love,
Amanda
