Why did you start your business?

Every time I went out in Nashville Music City, someone would come up to me and ask questions about songwriting & the music business.

My mate said, "This is crazy. You should create a business answering some of these questions." Songpreneurs helps songwriters think and operate as small business entrepreneurs.

In providing encouragement, curriculum based enrichment, and opportunities to succeed, we have built a beautiful organization of creative professionals spanning the gamut of achievement, experience and musical genres.

At first, we focused on song craft, techniques and theories, and quickly recognized the eagerness of workshop attendees to learn how they can use their own songs as an engine of profitability for their businesses.  Some of our initial customers are still working with us today since "Getting Started the Right Way in the New Millennium of Music Business" in 2013.

As daughter of a non-performing songwriter that built his career after a debilitating accident rendered him unable to tour and perform his own songs, causing him to pursue other creative business outlets, I know first hand the power that taking charge of one's intellectual property can bring for an individual operating as a small business.

It was a challenge to get this business started, but the motivation today remains the same as the first day we hung up our shingle:
