In early December, Songpreneurs Founder Amanda Colleen Williams embarked on the flagship Arts Envoy IPR trip sponsored by the U.S Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Romania.
The Arts Envoy has been around for a long time as an arts and cultural diplomacy program offered to U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad by the Cultural Affairs Division of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.
The new Arts Envoy IPR program is a combination of traditional arts diplomacy with the support of the Office of Intellectual Property Enforcement, utilizing the powerful combination of artists’ personal messages about the importance of respecting intellectual property rights and the work of creative artists.
“I am excited to help launch this program, and can think of no better place than Romania to begin this journey,” said Williams of her week-long trip.
Amanda will be posting highlights of her Arts Envoy IPR trip to Romania on her Songlife website over the next few weeks, and looks forward to participating in further developing the Arts Envoy IPR program in 2019.
