Learning a variety of new skills, getting encouragement, motivation, guidance and opportunities to create - Welcome to the Conference -
Attendees are invited to the private discussion Forum where they connect with other conference attendees for collaboration, interaction and assignments followup from our labs, making this the most interactive virtual event you've ever attended.
Sessions are held online and can be accessed via phone, tablet or computer. Live sessions are recorded for later viewing, and after each session is a private, un-recorded Q&A session so that you can feel comfortable having the tough conversations.
In workshop lab practice is provided for skills building, along with out of session optional assignments that can be posted on the forum for comments and feedback.
Schedule of Workshops is as follows:
Day 1 - June 22, 2023
Day one is all about getting in the zone. We begin by flexing our creative muscles and gaining skills for awareness and mindfulness practice that leads to better mental and emotional health as well as generating tons of new ideas for songwriting, business and better quality of life. Hear the story about how Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame Member Kim Williams came up with the idea for his multiplatinum hit "New Way To Fly" written with superstar Garth Brooks, and practice the technique in the lab. We round out the day by exploring how songwriters use these same creative muscles to write to the hook, and tailor their songs to a target market for greater commercial success.
10AM CT - Turning On & Tuning Up your awareness & mindfulness training for creative professionals - How to awaken and strengthen your creative muscles for better quality of life and art.
2PM CT - Target Writing Techniques how to write to the hook and for any market. Where intention meets skill - tools for building commercial songwriting prowess.
Day 2 - June 23, 2023
Day two is focused on music business knowledge and skill building with a powerpacked day of sessions guiding you through the maze that is the independent music marketplace. Gain foundational information and follow along as we walk through all the steps you need to do as an independent getting your music out there. From the birth of the song all the way through live performance, radio airplay and distributing your single, EP or album to internet streaming, we'll cover all the bases. Get your questions answered in the off-camera Q&A sessions that follow the recorded workshop / labs.
10AM CT Music Business Demolition Derby busting up & breaking down the steps you need to release a song, EP or album - Walk through the 1-2-3 of music registration and licensing in plain English.
2PM CT Distribution Derby how to get your music out there using independent distribution tools. Upload your music for sale online - a one stop shop how to class and discussion Q&A.
Day 3 - June 24, 2023
Day three is our grand finale for the virtual conference, providing actionable tools to help you unlock your inner potential by tuning up a few core areas. Session one helps get to the bottom of how to find your authentic artist voice as a songwriter artist - not just in terms of how you sing, but also through examining your brand and how your music best serves the community of fans. We'll explore how the hit makers have navigated their changing images through the years, and look at 3 principles of singing everyone should know. Closing out the conference, we look at how content marketing can take the cringyness out of promoting your music and brand online, and how you can make more income doing it the right way.
